Water and Sewer Rate Increase

The budget for 25’/26 has a rate increase for water and sewer. We look to evaluate our rates every two years and work hard to keep our rates and increases as manageable for the customers as possible. Upgrades to the city sewer plant, lagoons and water plant have led to the increase in 2025,2026 and 2027.

What is being budgeted is that the flat fee for water increasing $ 4.00 per month from $14.50 to $18.50 and cost of 1,000 gallons of water to increase $1.27 from $2.73 to $4.00.

On the Sewer side we are proposing an increase of $6.00 from $13.50 to $ 19.50 on the flat fee and the 1,000 based on water usage to increase $1.00 from $3.00 to $4.00.

Rateswill take effect on July 1 of 25’ with your bill in August of 25’ being the first with the new rates.
